📝 Module 7 Section 2 - Exercise 9

The orchid Bulbophyllum nocturnum was only recently discovered on a remote island in Papua New Guinea. Bulbophyllum nocturnum is the only orchid known to flower solely in darkness, and only over a single night---researchers could not comprehend what insect it could hope to attract for such a limited period. Nor had they seen before such strange-looking extensions to the petals, which resembled small sausages. But then they realised that they looked just like slime mould, the favourite food of night-flying tropical midges---an insect common on the island.
