A Throughout history different fields have been impacted by rare individuals who have stood out for their brilliant and remarkable contributions. Such geniuses include Michelangelo for his masterful artworks, poet and novelist Lady Murasaki in the field of literature, Marie Curie for her scientific aptitude and Albert Einstein for his pioneering contributions to physics. Einstein's Powers of cognition were so great that, with no tools at his disposal other than the force of his own thoughts, he formulated his general theory of relativity. It took one hundred years, enormous computational power, and extreme technological sophistication to definitively prove him right. Einstein's revolutionary thinking was genius. But what set his brainpower apart from his peers? What makes a genius? Long ago, phrenologists attempted to find genius in the way the head itself was structured; while craniometrists collected skulls which they measured and weighed. These researchers were all unable to reveal a unique source of genius. Today genius is understood as the ultimate expression of many complex traits such as intelligence, creativity and perseverance that entwine to create a person capable of changing the world.
